Editorial responsibility for the text sits with the company rather than with a named individual, because the pages are assembled rather than authored in the usual sense: each one combines substance identity taken from public registries with descriptive text written for this catalogue.

Where the substance data comes from
Every substance is anchored to its CAS registry number. That number, and not the trade name, is what makes a substance unambiguous — the same compound may be sold under a dozen names, and the same name may cover several compounds.
Identity and physicochemical values are keyed to that number against public reference sources:
- PubChem, operated by the US National Institutes of Health — molecular formula, molar mass, structure, identifiers.
- NIST Chemistry WebBook, US National Institute of Standards and Technology — thermochemical and spectroscopic data where a record exists.
- European Chemicals Agency — regulatory status and harmonised classification.
Where an independent record exists for a substance, the page for that substance links to it directly, so any value can be checked at the source. Where no such record exists — polyaluminium chloride is the clearest case, being a polymeric mixture rather than a discrete compound — the pages say so instead of inventing one.
Where the descriptive text comes from
The prose describing each grade — what it is, how it behaves, what it is used for, how it is handled — was written for this catalogue. It draws on established, textbook-level chemistry and on ordinary commercial practice in the fertiliser and industrial chemicals trade. It is not reproduced from any supplier’s literature.
What compiled data is not
Compiled data is not measured data. It identifies a substance and describes it in general terms. It does not describe the lot in your hand. Where a decision depends on an exact figure — an assay, a moisture limit, a particle size distribution — that figure must come from the certificate of analysis for the actual material, or from a current safety data sheet, and not from a website.
The same applies to safety information. Hazard statements and pictograms shown here are informative summaries drawn from public classification data. They are not a safety data sheet and are not a substitute for one.
Grades, specifications and prices
Grade designations and specification ranges describe classes of commercial material as they are generally understood in the trade. They are indicative. They do not represent the specification of any particular producer, plant or lot, and two materials answering the same grade description can differ in ways that matter. Prices shown are indicative, quoted in euro, and any order is subject to confirmation of availability, lot specification and final price.
How the catalogue is kept current
Substance identity — registry numbers, formulae, molar masses — changes almost never. Regulatory classification changes occasionally and is refreshed against the sources above. Commercial grade descriptions and price indications change with the market and are the parts most likely to age. Each page carries the date on which it was last updated, at the foot of the page.
